Snake Bite

Even non-venomous snakes can cause a nasty swelling and infection

Signs and Symptoms
– Seizing, fainting or collapsed.
– Vomiting
– Diarrhoea
– Panting
– Salivating / frothing from mouth
– Gum and tongue colour change

There are many venomous snakes in the top end, ranging from mild to highly venomous. Do not attempt to catch the snake, if it is safe to do so from a safe distance take a photo of the snake. If you suspect snake bite contact a vet immediately
