During the wet season we see an increase in the number of dogs overheating while undertaking their normal daily activities. Exercising your dog during the day, playing with other dogs, hunting and car rides on the ute are all activities that could put your dog at risk of overheating.
Signs and symptoms
– Panting
– Breathing difficulty
– Gum and tongue colour change to brick red or purple
– Lethargy
– Pacing
– Vomiting
– Diarrhoea
– Drinking excessively
– Disorientation
