Being unable to urinate or defecate for more than 24hrs. Sooner for cats that are straining to urinate and passing nothing

Being unable to urinate is extremely uncomfortable and especially for felines can be a sign of an underlying serious medical condition.
If you notice your pet unable to urinate monitor closely for signs of discomfort and contact a vet immediately!

Signs and symptoms

– Straining to urinate with no urine
– Vocalising
– Pacing
– Panting
– Lethargy
– Distended abdomen
